Dr. Geoff Levermore, contributer to the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize to the IPCC and Al Gore will visit Augustana on September 23.
Levermore’s speech is entitled, “Climate Change, the IPCC, Uncertainty and the Built Environment.” He will address topics like the IPCC’s role in regulating polution.
Levermore taught at the University of Manchester (England, UK) for 11 years, and was appointed an Emeritus Professor in 2011. He is conducting part-time research on urban heat islands after a brief retirement in 2011. He has written 15 books and 58 refereed papers, and he currently works as a part-time professor.
The talk will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 23 in the GSC, room 100. It is free and open to the public as well as Augustana students.
